Our Team.
Our team of clinical mental health providers is dedicated to walking alongside individuals as they grow and heal, offering a compassionate, judgment-free space where every story is honored. We take a holistic approach to care, supporting the mind, body, and spirit through evidence-based practices and genuine human connection. Rather than trying to “fix,” we empower people to build resilience, deepen self-awareness, and create meaningful, lasting change. We believe growth is a deeply personal journey, and with the right support, each person can move toward a more balanced, purposeful, and fulfilling life.
A Passionate Advocate for Healing and Holistic Wellness After proudly serving in the United States military, I redirected my life's mission toward the healing and empowerment of others by earning a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health. Today, I’m a licensed clinician with over a decade of experience supporting individuals from all walks of life—including military personnel and their families, the LGBTQIA2S+ community, and students at Norfolk State University. My work is deeply rooted in trauma-informed care, with extensive experience in trauma, PTSD, generational trauma, and sexual trauma. I hold certifications in Psychological First Aid, Grief & Loss, and Sexual Trauma, which have equipped me with the skills and sensitivity needed to walk with clients through some of life’s most challenging moments. What drives me is my unwavering passion for helping individuals create their story through the transformative journey of therapy. I take a holistic, client-centered approach—meeting each person exactly where they are and tailoring care to fit their unique needs and life stage. I’m currently expanding my expertise through certifications in holistic living and wellness, continuing my commitment to whole-person healing. Outside the therapy room, I’m a nature lover, cycling enthusiast, and adventure-seeking family woman. One of my many passions is nutrition, which led me to earn a certificate in Ayurvedic Nutrition—a perfect complement to my holistic approach to mental health. Healing is not one-size-fits-all. It's personal, powerful, and possible—and I'm here to help you achieve it.
Mental Health Advocate | Trauma Specialist | Mental Health Consultant After graduating from Columbia University, I wholeheartedly dedicated my career to supporting individuals navigating mental health challenges. With a deep commitment to service and education, I earned my certification in Seminar Training in Field Instruction (SIFI) at NYU, further sharpening my skills in clinical supervision and mental health training. Mental health education is not just my profession—it's my passion and honor. I've had the privilege of speaking publicly, developing and implementing impactful trainings, and presenting to esteemed organizations such as the Child Welfare League of America. My goal has always been to create platforms for growth, healing, and empowerment. One of the most transformative roles in my career was organizing and leading a crisis counseling program in response to Hurricane Sandy. From hiring staff to structuring outreach services, I coordinated efforts to provide vital psychological support to affected communities. My dedication to frontline support began earlier—on the ground after 9/11—where I was honored to serve First Responders and recovery teams at Ground Zero, offering trauma-informed care and psychological first aid. My journey has also brought me to Virginia, where I served military members and their families, bringing a trauma-informed approach to care and providing support for those who serve. With extensive experience working with diverse populations and frontline workers, I specialize in crisis intervention, trauma recovery, and resilience building. Beyond my clinical work, I’m a lifelong learner and nature enthusiast. I find joy in running, exploring cultures, and studying the healing power of nature. I hold a certificate in Medicinal Plants from Cornell University, combining my interest in holistic health with my clinical practice. I believe healing begins with connection—and it is my life's work to foster that connection through education, compassion, and service.
Military-Connected Care | Trauma Recovery | Identity & Personal Growth As a Navy veteran and woman of color, I understand how military life and lived experiences can shape the way you move through the world — often feeling pressure to stay strong, push through, and silence your own needs in order to survive. It can be a lonely place trying to navigate systems that were never designed with you in mind while carrying the weight of expectations, responsibilities, and unspoken pain. Over time, that survival mode can leave you feeling emotionally exhausted, disconnected, unseen beyond your rank or responsibilities, and unsure of who you are outside of what’s expected of you. I provide a space where you are seen as a person — not your rank, title, background, or role. A place where you can process trauma, fear, anger, grief, identity struggles, and uncertainty without fear of judgment, retaliation, or career consequences. Therapy can be a safe place to express your thoughts openly, explore your needs and wants, and reconnect with yourself without feeling pressured to think, feel, or respond a certain way. As a Navy veteran, Resident in Counseling, and woman of color, I am passionate about supporting military members, veterans, and individuals navigating life transitions, trauma, burnout, relationship challenges, identity shifts, and the difficulty of adjusting outside of survival mode. My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and grounded in compassion, authenticity, cultural awareness, and respect. Together, we create space for healing, clarity, emotional growth, and practical tools that support both your mental well-being and everyday life. Healing is not about having it all figured out. It begins with finally having a place where you can be honest, human, and truly heard.

Why Choose a Resident?
A resident in counseling is a mental health professional who has completed their graduate degree and is now gaining supervised clinical experience while working toward full licensure. Residents are trained to help individuals navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, life transitions, and personal growth. Seeing a resident for therapy can be highly beneficial because they bring current training, fresh perspectives, and evidence-based techniques, while also receiving guidance from experienced licensed supervisors. Clients often find residents approachable, compassionate, and dedicated to providing quality care in a supportive and collaborative environment.
